Hello
,
You know what bugs me?
When I hear people say something like: When the going gets tough you know who your true friends are.
Usually a comment such is this is stated dripping with anger, resentment, upset, bitterness even victim consciousness because the person making the statement is feeling neglected by a friend or family member who didn't step up to the plate to lend a helping
hand.
Now before you protest hear me out.
Let's say you are going through a major crisis and you ask for help from a close friend or family member. That close friends says that while they "feel" for you they are unable to offer assistance or support. Perhaps they ignore your pleas for help all together.
Meanwhile someone you hardly know, perhaps a colleague at work, or an acquaintance volunteers to lend you
money, give you temporary shelter, emotional support or whatever it is that you need.
And in that moment you think to yourself: I now know who my true friends are.
But do you really?
Consider this perspective. What if that acquaintance or colleague the one you barely know, needs to have the Soul experience of helping you out?
What if offering assistance in your time of need
is a way for this person to fulfill a karmic contract, break a pattern or instigate a new behavior?
And what if your situation offers the perfect circumstance for this person to step up and make some change, create a shift and give back?
And that close friend or family member that you are now judging as not being a true friend, what if it is not meant to be their Soul Experience to assist?
What if on
some very deep level they know they have to step aside and give the other person an opportunity to assist?
What if they need the experience of disappointing you so they can become more conscious and grow?
Or what if they knew on a Soul level that the two of you must go through this experience so that you could let go of judgment and assumptions and accept the blessings of the Universe no matter where they come from or how they show
up?
What if you need to learn that Universe always connects us with the right people at the right time and all we need to do is Trust?
